Tequesta Trace Middle School serves 1,492 students in grades 6-8. Julie agreed that the COVID-19 pandemic was a difficult proposition last season and said both of their teams last year would have been really good, and it was unfortunate they didn’t get a chance to play. Indian Ridge’s Brianna Masaracchio opened the second set with four consecutive serves to stake the Indians to a 4-0 lead. She had three aces during that span and benefited from two kills from Ava Dinda and one each from Ross and Erin Huang. The game see-sawed back and forth until Tequesta Trace’s Madison Moran broke a 9-9 tie in the first set with seven consecutive serves to seize a 16-9 lead, en route to a 21-13 victory.
